Using the BlackBerry connection to browse

I have an XDA Stellar with the Blackberry Connect software installed. I am able to browse the internet using the Blackberry connection, but any other apps that need to connect (e.g. QuickGPS) try to connect using GPRS.

Is there a way I can force them to use the Blackberry connection so I'm not charged for when these apps connect seeing as I already pay O2 £10 a month for the Blackberry service on top of my line rental? I ask mainly as I'd like to try another browser (such as Opera) but obviously that will try to connect with GPRS.

Hi,

I don't believe you can force other apps to use the BlackBerry APN. You can check the WAP service book settings for your BlackBerry APN details and then try and enter them into your devices connection settings. I can confirm that this is not possible on other BlackBerry Connect devices but please post back with your findings.

Thanks,

Gary
