Need help to setup BIS on nokia e65

Hello,

Had a user using nokia e65. I had download and install blackberry software on the phone. The provider is vodafone. Should the nokia e65 use 3G or GPRS?

I cant seem to create new BIS account on vodafone bis website. Error message "invalid PIN or IMEI". I knew I type in the PIN and IMEI correctly andI got those number from the phone. But it just keep coming up with that error message.

Another thing is when I try to browse the net using the phone, it won't allow me to do so.

Can anyone help me? Thanks alot.

Hi,

The E65 is a 3G device but you need to ensure you have the correct version of Blackberry Connect installed. Below I have attached the download links for the various versions available for the different Nokia software versions. Please post back once you confirm you are running the correct software and also double check with Vodafone you are on a BIS plan.

S60 (Nokia E65)
PC (Microsoft Windows)

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,

The software version on my phone nokia e65 is 2.0633.65.01.

I cant seem find which version of Blackberry Connect is compatible with that software version on my phone.

The current Blackberry Connect installed on the phone is 7.1.0(7). I installed from the CD that comes with the phone.

Do you think is the compatible version?

What I would recommend prior to changing any software is contacting Vodafone and ensure you have a BlackBerry Internet Service Plan and check with Tech support why it's not registering. Your device has the latest firmware which is supposed to be compatible with the BB Connect version listed below.

Nokia S60 BlackBerry Connect (7.1.7)_1(.SISX, 1,73 MB)
