BES Reconfig after Domain rebuild - Is it possible?

Hi All,

I have just had to rebuild an SBS server, so AD & Exchange is all new. I had a seperate BES box attached to the old domain (pre disaster)

Is there anyway to reconfigure the BES box (i have added to new domain) instead of uninstalling the BES app and starting again?

I have recreated the besdamin account on the SBS box and given all the required permissions in Exchange and locally on the BES server. When i load up the BES Manager software it asked for the MAPI profile, pointed it at new exchnage server and BESadmin account, but no joy with that.

If i do have to start from fresh, should the devices be wiped first?

Thanks for any help.

In this particular scenario it would be best to do a fresh install of BlackBerry Enterprise Server. In reinstalling BES it would also be best to install it on a clean server, so if possible I would format the system and install Server 200x and then add it to your new domain. The reason for going to this extent is to ensure a new and stable implementation of the BES software. Unfortunately you will have to wipe the handhelds before reactivating them onto the new BES.
