Hello there,

I had to reinstall my laptop this week and obviously reinstall the Desktop Manager (I'm using the Blackberry Pearl).

Since then, I am receiving emails with the following text:

This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

They don't mean anything to me as I am not synchronising my emails (or should I?) I don't have the email icon on my desktop manager and I don't use a server as it's a standalone laptop...

How do I stop the emails?

It appears that you have installed Blackberry Desktop Manager with Desktop Redirector. You will need to fully uninstall Desktop Manager and when you reinstall only select the "BlackBerry Internet Service" option. Also on your device go to "Options > Advanced Options > Service Book" and delete the two service books that start with [Desktop].
