DesktopMgr.exe - Application Error appears on the BlackBerry smartphone while synchronizing the Address Book

Problem

When synchronizing the Address Book on the BlackBerry smartphone, you receive the following error message:

Synchronize: DesktopMgr.exe - Application Error The exception unknown software exception (0xe06d7363) occurred in the application at location 0x7c59bc81.

Cause

The Intellisync® folders contain corrupt information.

Resolution

Delete the Intellisync configuration folders. The folders can be found in C:/Documents and Settings/<user name>/Application Data/Research In Motion/BlackBerry.
