Unhappy Outlook: No Profiles have been created.

I have a new Blackberry Pearl. I run Vista with Desktop Manager 4.3 and Outlook 2007.

When I open the Desktop Manager, before connecting the 8100 (Pearl), I get the above message ie 'Outlook: No Profiles Created' This is in fact is incorrect and I have 3 Profiles. I have checked their integrity with SCANPST.
The Profiles are also visible under Options.

Any support greatfully received.

Hi MaxRSS,

As you posted in the BlackBerry Enterprise section can you please confirm that you are on BES? Also is Outlook accessing email via Exchange or via POP? The reason I ask is I need to determine if Desktop manager was installed using the correct mode e.g. BIS or BES.

Thanks,

Gary

I have installed the Desktop as BES. My Outlook is configured with POP. My Blackberry 8100 was bought from a shop is not connected to an Enterprise.

I have tried BIS but with different results, ie Intellysync did not include Outlook as an Application to sync.

Great to have a reply.

In order for Desktop Manager to function correctly you will need to install it using the "BlackBerry Internet Service" option. When you install the application ensure you right mouse click setup.exe and select "Run As Administrator" as Vista may preventing it from installing correctly.

Red face

We are getting there but not quite. I now have Outlook Express as an application and it should be Outlook. When I click 'Advanced' there are no Folders available(of course). Additionally the Application is not showing for Calendar, Tasks only Address Book. Can you advise on this one ? I have tried the reset option to no avail.

Thankyou for your help so far.

Thumbs up

Problem solved! By removing the software, then deleting any remnant files and deleting Research In Motion registry keys and then re-installing the software everything works. I suggest the registry entries for RIM may have been corrupt.

Thanks for your help.
