question about Desktop Manager

I have a 7250 which syncs with Lotus Notes at company I work at. However I would like to backup the Memo Pad from 7250. Is it possible to download the Desktop Manager on a separate PC to backup the memo pad? Or will this somehow mess up the synchronization settings with Lotus Notes? I am not technical. Please advise. Thanks

You can install Desktop Manager on another PC but ensure you select the BlackBerry Internet Service (This is to ensure it is a stand alone install) option during the install and don't install the desktop redirector. When you connect the device don't worry about pairing just select Backup\Restore.
