The following table lists the Known Issues associated with BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.2 and 4.2 Service Pack 1 (4.2.1) using Microsoft Windows Vista.

BlackBerry Desktop Software installers are not signed.

BlackBerry Desktop software 4.2 - The BlackBerry device user is prompted with the following message before installing the BlackBerry Desktop Software: An unidentified program wants access to your computer dialog appears. The BlackBerry device user must click Allow before installing the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

BlackBerry Desktop software 4.2 Service Pack 1 (4.2.1) - The BlackBerry device user is prompted with the following message before installing the BlackBerry Desktop Software: A program needs your permission to continue. If you started this program, continue. The BlackBerry device user must click Continue before installing the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

A Windows Firewall warning appears when logging into a BlackBerry email account in BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
