From what I've heard, it's more like Oct/Nov for the rumoured '9000'. At the end of the day, (officially) Aus won't see the device for at least a couple of months after that anyway. Quite a few months back, I posted a thread here stating Telstra were pulling the 8100 Pearl to step up to the GPS or wifi Pearl but that STILL hasn't happened. I don't think we will see an all New BlackBerry (3 or Next G) until next year (mid June to be conservative).
But I hope I'm wrong.
(Sorry for the quality tonight but I'm writing from my Bb as my daughter has stolen my net connection )

Apparently the NextG-compatible device is still coming, but three different sources of mine have confirmed that there have been "set-backs" and that it's unlikely that we'll see it until later this year...

At this stage, my various sources give an aproximate release date of 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year, though details are still sketchy.

Don't believe everything you read in the blogs .
Every couple of months or so, one or two writers drop an article about the '9000' (or whatever) and the rumors spread like wildfire... and it doesn't help when the manufactures stay silent.
And yes, I'm guilty of giving these rumors 'legs' but my editor has pulled me up a couple of times lately...
Trust me on this, it's not hard to get caught...

Most of my sources come from within the telecommunications industry, in some cases, from pretty high up...

I don't get my information online as I don't trust what I read online (unless it's by one of my sources).

Ocasionally people online will confirm or supplement what my sources have already told me however...

Motorola has released a BlackBerry connect agent for the Motorola Q.

That would be a great step forward if the Moto Q wasn't such a hideous device...
