How to backup Blackberry Instand Messenger messages

Hi,

I noticed when I do a full backup of the Blackberry through Desktop Manager (V 4.3) it doesn't backup the Blackberry Instant Messages.

Here's what I have found:-

Do Full Backup of device using BB Desktop manager
Wipe device (get password wrong 10 times resets it)
Do Enterprise activation
Restore device from BB Desktop Manager

Result - All Instant Messenger contacts and their messages have gone!

Is there a way of backing these up too ?

Can you please confirm which Instant Messenger you are referring to? I always use the Backup\Restore when changing devices and it does backup my BlackBerry Messenger contacts.
