Pictures!

Hi all;

Recently i installed BlackBerry Desktop from 4.3 to 4.5. I copied my snaps from device memory to my computer. I forgot to check that and deleted from device memory. Now my pictures are coming up blank on computer and on device as well. Is there any permissibility to recover those pictures from blackberry device or any other solution.

Thank you.

Hi,

If you a backup of you Blackberry device we can restore them. If you have every upgraded your device or set Desktop manager to automatically backup you should find some *.ipd files on your system. Let us know if you have a backup and I can talk you through restoring the data.

Thanks,

Gary

Seems a little strange....

I did the same thing, copied 6 pictures from my Blackberry to my picture file on my PC and deleted the ones on my Blackberry. About a week later I upgraded to 4.5 and then 4.6 a week later... but did not affect the pictures on my PC, and actually copied one back onto my Blackberry (a lovely picture of my nephew in Fiji).

Question.... just tossing things around.... do you have a temporary file on your computer that perhaps they are sitting in?

Or.... do you have two picture files (you know, one local and one on a server perhaps)?

I also know that my PC (running MS 2007) when I originally copied the pictures from the Blackberry, automatically created a "Devices Download Files" (My Documents > My Pictures > Devices Downlopad Files).... do you have one of these?

Hmmm.... run out of ideas for now

Normally if you have a backup or the pictures are stored on the MicroSD card you can use various tools to restore the data. In your case I believe you may have lost these images but ensure you connect your device to another PC and see if you can view the images.

Let me quote an example when our hard drive crashed we lost important data then we use data recovery tool to recover data. In blackberry case is there any software available to perform the above job.

No, I believe there is not software that does this.... hence why it is a good idea to regularly back up your Blackberry to your PC/Lap Top.

BTW.... where on your computer did you save your pictures to? You may have missed my post....
