Emails are being deleted on mass

Hi - I hope someone can help me. I have a BB Bold and I am a sole trader so I do not have BES. I signed up with BBerry Sync (based in the USA) but found that it was erratic and the only additional service it gave me was "sent emails" as I am able to sync through the cable every day anyway so I disabled it on the phone. Recently I have found that emails are disappearing from my inbox - for example 3 days ago every email that arrived from 3 October disappeared - this has happened a couple of times and I have made a point to lock my phone so that I am not accidently using the "delete prior to this date" function. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks Nina

Hi Nina,

Welcome to the forum.

I guess the obvious question here to ask is.... did the Bold display this "behaviour" prior to BBerry Sync was installed? If not, my suggestions would be to:
  • Check the BBerry Sync website under FAQ's or email the help desk for BBerry Sync for assistance, or
  • Remove BBerry Sync program totally from your handset, using the App Loader function on the DeskTop Manager.

Then I guess check to see if the "behaviour" stops... let us know how you get on here.

Hi Nina,
As this is a payed service I would suggest getting in touch with the developers and explain your issue. (I find that most will be very helpful as bad publicity can kill a small development company). Go to the contact us section in BBerrysync - OTA Sync
If they don't get back to you by mid next week drop back here and we can take further steps to get your issue sorted.

thanks for your help - I have already removed the app from my phone (but not from the PC) but given there seems to be no other explanation I will contact them
I will report back on my progress.
