Hi,
International data rates are quite high. (I got hit with a nice little welcome home present of an over $700 bill with Optus. NYC-6 weeks).
You can check the rates here: Roaming For On Account & Contract
Hope this helps and give us a shout from there if you have any issues with your service.
BTW; if you have a choice of carriers whilst there, lock your BB to AT&T. Found they were reliable and data speeds were good.
Have a great trip.
Kind Regards,
Greg Myers

PIN to PIN (via BBM)messaging is a different kettle of fish and will not attract a high data charge. (Would be defiantly cheaper than SMS) and is instant (even from across the globe to your BB)

Hi,

As confirmation for all readers you need to be aware that ALL data on a BlackBerry (or any other data enabled device) device is charged at Global Roaming rates whilst overseas. The average data charge is between 1.5 to 2 cents per KB (i.e. 1024kb = 1MB)

Thanks,

Gary
