Using a BB in Vietnam

Hi

I am soon to head off to Ho Chi Minh City for 3 years ... though I will be back in Aust from time to time ... keen to use a BB while I'm in HCMC ... predominantly for data ... with occasional voice (in and out bound) ... and then when I'm back in Aust ... both data and voice.

Any suggestions out there as to which model would best suit ... and how to keep costs to a min??

I would highly recommend a local carrier as global roaming charges over that period of time would be a killer.

all I can add is that it works - I was there for a week in June and it worked perfectly, I was on a 2G Pearl at the time, so it was only a couple of MB in emails, cost about $10 I think from memory
