Using Iskoot O/S

G'day.

Quick question.

I use Iskoot often to call USA and it works well and is cost effective. I will be heading to USA soon and will hopefully be using Iskoot to call Australia.

When I use Iskoot in Australia there is a cost (standard mobile telephone timed call cost) to connect to an Aussie based Iskoot server. However, when using Iskoot in USA, will it try to connect me to server in Australia or USA?

Just trying to avoid any nasty surprises on my next telephone bill.

TIA.

Hi,

If you are using an Australian phone in the US you will have to configure iSkoot to dial the US connection number. Even though you are using an American number to dial into the service it will still be charged as an international call. Your best option would be to get an international dialling card in the US and use a standard land line phone if you are concerned about cost.

Thanks,

Gary
