Installed timezoneupdater.jad, still wrong time

Trying to solve daylight saving time problem (Sydney). Have installed
net_rim_bb_timezoneupdater.jad
but still time is incorrect. Have rebooted, included battery out.
Specifications:
BB Curve 8310
Firmware version: Blackberry 4.2
Application installed: net_rim_bb_timezoneupdater 4.2.0.96

When I go to the options->Date/Time configuration Settings are:
Time Zone: canberra Sydney ((+10)
Time (wrong by 1 hour)
Date correct
Date Time source: Blackberry

and a message "Network Time not available"
Even though I have this error message, if I manually change the time to the correct time and then click the Blackberry menu button and select "Update Time" the time returns to the incorrect (non-adjusted time).

any suggestions please

By upgrading to Version 4.5 of system software (from 4.2), problem seems to be gone.

I've changed support instructions so support provider doesn't have to account for this posting. Thanks to technical help from my mobile phone company instructions were:

Please check the following link for the latest BB software:

BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites

Under <myarea> select <myphonecompany> then select the software For BlackBerry® Curve (TM) 8310 Smartphone

Make sure to download the BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.108
Procedure
To use the application loader tool to install BlackBerry Device Software, complete the following steps:
1. Install the BlackBerry Device Software on your computer.
2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
3. Connect the BlackBerry Smartphone to the computer.
4. If prompted, type your BlackBerry Smartphone password and then click OK.
5. Complete one of the following steps:
o If the Application Updates Available window appears, click Update Now. The Application Loader Wizard appears.
o If the Application Updates Available window does not appear, double-click the Application Loader icon. The Application Loader Wizard appears.
6. Click Next.
7. If prompted, type your BlackBerry Smartphone password and click Next.
Note: When the Application Loader Wizard is finished examining the configuration on the BlackBerry Smartphone, the Device Application Selection screen appears listing the applications available for installation. The selected check boxes indicate applications that are already installed on the BlackBerry Smartphone.
8. Select the check box for the BlackBerry Device Software.
9. Click Next.
10. If the On the Device Backup screen appears, choose whether to automatically back up the BlackBerry Smartphone and then click Next.
11. Click Finish to begin loading the BlackBerry Device Software.
12. Click Close when the software is finished loading.
Note: Please make sure to backup your device before upgrading it with the new software version.

Suggest you speak to your support people though before you do this.

Kudos support people.
