Blackberry Enterprise enforced encryption problem

My company recently turned on the enforced encryption. I think that's great, but the problem is that now when I put in a pin I have to wait about 3 seconds before I can do anything with the phone, whereas before when I put in the pin I don't have to wait at all.

According to my colleagues I am the only person with this problem. I am also the only Verizon user (they are the only provider with service in my building). I've tried a hard reset, but haven't dropped it back to factory and re-added it to the BES server. I'm using an 8330 Curve.

Can you please confirm what exactly you mean by "enforced encryption"? I assume you mean "Content Protection"? If this is the case the lag affect of items being constantly encrypted and then unencrypted will greatly impact of a devices performance depending on the strength that was selected (e.g. Strong=80 bits, Stronger=128 bits, Strongest=256 bits). To date I haven't seen a site that uses Content Protection that hasn't complained about the lag in unlocking or opening items. Please confirm that other users are set to the same I.T Policy ("Options > Security Options > General Settings" and compare settings) as these settings may have only been applied to a select group of users.
