Hi and welcome to the forums.
Full qwerty, GPS, looooong battery life

and non 3G... You can't really go past the 8310 Curve. Great device (and in my personal opinion, better than the Bold).
Reliable, mind you GPS mapping does suck on the Curve as data rates are quite slow but it is bearable (if you do go ahead with this model, post back here and I will send you some links to some excellent 'Free' mapping applications), robust (takes an absolute hammering compared with the iPhone), lightweight (wont pull your pants down if you have it clipped to your belt), full Qwerty board (with spell check if you need it), about 14 trillion applications available for it (about 10 trillion of these are free)

, and really long battery life (I know the stats on the official BlackBerry site say up to 14 days but lets be realistic here, we live in the real word and not always within 2 meters of a cell phone tower

, you can expect between 3 days (standard business user) to 5 days (light user) of battery life on one charge. Myself, well I wont say as that's just unfair because I'm on the thing 24/7/365...read; no life.

MMS... something you obviously missed with the iPhone (2 or 3G), is do-able on the BlackBerry. (However, you will need a data service to get it working)
If you wish to stick with the touch screen, then Vodafone "are suppose to'" be releasing the new BlackBerry 95xx (aka; Storm) early next month. This will be a 2 G device but at this stage, widely untested.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to post back,
Kindest Regards,
Greg Myers
