Help With BB Messenger

Hi,

New to this forum so hopefully in the right place to get some help.

I have a new BB 8120 connected to 3. I have added some contacts in messenger and everything works fine. But I have a friend in the UK (Im in Aust) which I have added. Everything seems to go okay in terms of adding the contact etc. The problem is I can send a message which he can see and responds to, but I cant see his response at all. His BB works fine, and mine works with local contacts.

Not sure if its something to do with international or not, but his works fine with other international contacts. I have tried inviting him numerous times, and hes invited me etc, but still the same result. I cant see his responses..

Has anyone got any thoughts??

Hi,

The first thing to try is hard resetting the device by removing the battery. Second try adding the user via PIN instead of email address. A device PIN can be found by going to "Options > Status", or you can compose a new email and type mypin and the press space. On the odd occasion I have seen this issue occur if a user is connected to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server and I.T have enforced restrictions on the device.
