Blackberry 6280

Hello All,
I helped a friend set up there blackberry 6280, I put her sim card in it (Vodaphone) and got it going, was working great, she found it too big for her hand and couldn't use it properly, so I have it now, I put my sim card in it (Telstra) and now it is saying no network, I do a scan and it comes back with Vodafone, or Optus, but never Telstra, is there any thing I am able to do to rectify this problem, any help would be greatly appretiated, thank you in advance. much peace and many blessings.

Hi,

What type of Telstra SIM do you have? (e.g. is it a Telstra NextG, 3G or 2G SIM). I would assume your SIM isn't compatible with the device so the only way to confirm is by testing another SIM card.

Thanks,

Gary

As far as I'm aware the NextG SIM isn't compatible with your device. You either need to try and downgrade to a 2G SIM or obtain a newer BlackBerry.
