Problem with name when call me

Hi.... my english is not very good, but I will tried.

I'm new with a blackberry 8120, so everything is good at this time, but I have a problem when people call me.

I have added on my address book some on my friends with all your details, name, last name, emails and phone number(work, movil, etc...), but even the name and number exists on my address book, when everyone call me, the name not appear on the screem only the number.

The same thing, happen with a lost call, only number appear not name, but if I move to call log and search the lost call, surprise the name appear, so the blackberry recognized but not show the name and number at the same time, when call me.

I appreacite help me with this problem, because, I so dificult see the screen when call me, and only the number appear, so I don't know who is.

Hi,

On your device please go into the Phone application (e.g. press the green send button) > Press menu (left of the trackball) > Select Options > Select Smart Dialing > Ensure your country code is set correctly.

Thanks for the tip, but I check that you said on the smart dialing, and my country code is correctly set.

If have another idea, I will apreciate, because I don't know what other thing can I do.

First try calling your carrier and ensure there is no issue at their end. If this fails open Blackberry Desktop Manager > Connect your Device > Select Backup and restore > Perform a Backup. Then on your device go to Options > Security Options > General Settings > Press menu > Select Wipe Handheld > Follow the prompts to erase your device. Once the device is erased Blackberry Desktop Manager > Connect your Device > Select Backup and restore > Select Restore > Open your backup file > Confirm the details and restore your backup.

Tks for the advice, I went to my carrier, so we do step by step Wipe Handheld, and excelent, my blackberry is recognizing every number with his name of my adreess list. Tks again.

I've another question now with bluetooth connection. The blackberry conected successfully with other celphone(such as nokia, sony ericson, etc) can send ringtons, files, etc, but can't received.

I look up all the configuration for bluetooth on the device, but nothing. There is another place on the device to configurate bluetooth conectivity for receive files, ringtons, etc.?

I apreciate a lot your help.

Try:
1) Options
2) Bluetooth
3) Scroll to the device you wish to receive files from
4) Application Button (LHS of trackball)
5) Device Properties
6) Change Trusted to 'Yes'
7) Save changes and exit
