Blackberry To Blackberry PIN, secure??

My wife works for a large corporation and has a company issued BB. Is it reasonable to assume that the company IT people who handle security would be able to see PIN to PIN messages? Is this a common check, or is it difficult? We know that they monitor email, but what is the opinion of the experts here on PINs.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

By default PIN to PIN messages and BlackBerry Messenger are not monitored. It is very easy for a Blackberry Administrator to enable logging on all PIN, Messenger and SMS communication if required. There is no way of telling if they are monitoring your messages but it is standard practice (and in some cases a legal requirement) to inform the user that all messages are being recorded. This also applies to your work laptop or desktop PC as they can see and record everything if required.

Thanks,

Gary
