What do you guys do?

Question for everyone:

What do you do that involves you in BlackBerry? Are you an IT Administrator? Work for RIM themselfs? Own or work for a IT solutions company? Work in the Telco industry?

I wasn't sure if this was the right place to put the thread or if it was appropriate for the forum but I guess I just want to see what keeps you guys wanting to know the latest in BlackBerry Technology...

I'll start off:

I work in the telco industry I'm a senior BlackBerry Tech for few Carriers here in Aus.

Hi,

I work for a Telstra Corporate Dealer and I personally look after 4000+ corporate BlackBerry sites in Australia and Internationally (either directly or provide third level support). I have performed over 5000 BES installs and I share this knowledge here and on many other BlackBerry forums around the world. I do contract work for most Carriers and I.T companies around Australia and also provide support to BlackBerry Support companies.

Thanks,

Gary

!!! Interesting Gary, I'm only close to like maybe 2000. I'm not an account manager and I don't look after them personally (By performing checks etc.) But I am the Senior BB tech and On-Site BB tech for a corporate Vodafone reseller here in Aus. I also deal with WiMo aswell. Almost senior for everything! WiMo, I mean I also work for HTC and Samsung.

I'm just a joe average corporate user, who is now addicted to my bold.

(I am regarded as a gadget addict who is always looking for the latest and greatest).

I was a long time Palm PDA user and ready to upgrade to the Palm Treo when my employer started to get worried about "IT security" and decided that they would no longer allow my Palm to sync with our e-mail client Lotus Notes. (It wasn't reliable anyway and I think our IT staff where getting sick of tying to fix sync errors all the time).

They decided the best available tool was the BlackBerry so accordingly this is why I now have one. (Being in the Lotus Notes environment, BlackBerry was the only alternative at the time).

I was initially not so keen due to the quality of the devices that where available, but when I got my first Pearl I have been hooked ever since.

I was not keen on the Bold at first but it has grown on me to the point I cannot see why I put up with the Pearl for so long (18 months).

I'm an Apple user at home and would love to have an iPhone, hence reason I use the iBerry theme, (or the newly released Palm Pre for that matter) but unless I can use it for work its not suitable. Must be an all encompassing device. I don't want to be one of those people with two devices hanging off my utility belt!

I work in the online gaming industry. My BB has nothing to do with my job really, I'm just a gadget geek (specifically phones). I find reading this forum, crackberry and BerryReview keeps me on top of most BB news.
