Exclamation Optus BIS Browser Issue.

With last weekends BIS upgrades, my device lost it's browser settings and defaulted to Optus Zoo (This only happened on my Optus device and found no such fault on my Vodafone BIS 8900). To rectify the problem I had to resend the service books by logging in to my BIS account.
I advise all BlackBerry users with a BIS account to check their settings for your browser as defaulting over to your WAP browser will see extra charges on your account.
To check:
1) Options
2) Advanced Options
3) Browser
4) Confirm 'Default browser configuration' and Default MDS browser configuration' are set to 'Internet Browser'
(If you do not have this option available, please resend your service books to your device)
Let us know below if anyone else finds the same issues with your devices.
Kind Regards,
Greg Myers

Hi Greg,

I have been experiencing similar problems, although with a slight difference. (My Default Browser has been replaced with "yellow Pages")

This link explains more
Do I have a virus

Although I have tried sending service books from the Telstra Blackberry Website, this hasnt rectified the problem, and "Yellow Pages" still remains as the Default Browser, with no option to change it...

Gary has suggested calling Telstra and confirming that I still have the Internet Browsing Service (IBS)" codes on my account, but I am swamped at work atm, and probably wont get the chance to call Telstra until tomorrow...

Anyone with any info re this weird problem would be great...

Ok problem solved now... remove this post if you wish!

Hi Greg, I didn't notice any such issues, even swapping devices back to a Bold over the weekend.

My Apologies Beechness, I don't have anything that may help your situation though - ah good the problem was resolved! Awesome!
