Blackberry set-up service

Does anybody know of a service, preferably in Brisbane, where somebody will set up and optimise my Blackberry 9000? I am not particularly techie, and having all kinds of problems. At the moment, can't even get it to download my home email. I don't have the time or patience to fiddle with it, and wondering if there's anybody out there who does this for a fee.

What network are you with? I can work out a solution for you. Is this a personal device or company issued?

it's a personal device and i'm with vodafone. but i'm at a loss to figure things out myself. there are so many things i want to optimise, and i know it's possible, but just so hard. i am very busy with work and kids, so don't have the time to sit here and google it all and fiddle.

Ohk, the Vodafone team have a BlackBerry support team that can set up the BIS account for you. Or you can PM me some details and I will walk you through the steps

Arjey, i might take you up on that offer! Away on hols for a week now though, so just a quick one. In Opera Mini, whenever I want to enter a search term in a field, it won't let me type in the field. It takes me to a blank white page where I have to type my search term then select Go. Is this normal? Or is there a better browser than OM?

Hi,

I have found "Bolt" to be a much better browser than OM. You can find out more information in the link below:

Thanks,

Bolt Browser - FAQ

How does BOLT connect to Internet on my BlackBerry?

On a BlackBerry device, BOLT tries to connect to the Internet in the following order,

* 1. Using BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) (unless Wi-Fi is enabled)
* 2. Using Access Point Name (APN)
* 3. Using BlackBerry Mobile Data System (MDS)
* 4. Using Wi-Fi (if enabled, BOLT first attempts to connect to the Internet using this option)
