Adding CALs to BES 5.0

Hi everyone,

I have BES 5.0 and everything looks fine - I can activate and administer devices. I wanted to add some extra CALs and went to the following

BlackBerry Solution Topology
BlackBerry Domain
Component View
and clicked on BlackBerry Administration Service

It opens a page on the right side where it shows me USER, GROUP, POLICY, etc but at the top I get an error in red "The application has encountered a system error. Please report this error to the System Administrator. (EXCEPTION-com.rim.bes.bas.servicemanager.ServiceNotFoundExce ption) "

With this error, I cannot see the license field that I should see to add the CALs. Any ideas on getting this fixed?

Hi,

The first step would be to restart the BES and once it has restarted try adding the CAL again. If it fails again please logon to the BES using the BlackBerry Service Account (e.g. BESadmin) and apply MR1 using the link below:

BES v5.0.0 Maintenance Release 1 - Exchange
