Arrow Please Help blackberry service provider?

hi guys

i have a blackberry 8800

i have been through a million phones in the past and love my blackberry to death

BUT

im with virgin and they cannot offer email data for a blackberry

so i call optus...and they say they can do email with blackberry but you have to buy a phone not BYO blackberry


does anybody know of a service provider that offers BYO blackberry and allows you to have data download?

I'd give optus another call & walk into a shop, as their ‘yes’ BlackBerry Email Plan is month-to-month. I believe they can add it onto a monthly plan (not pre-paid) or just bill you standard call charges

I can't see any BYO exclusions listed

Hi,

As Supabrudda mentioned call Optus again as I know many users that have moved over to Optus with a BYO device. The Unlimited BIS plan on a 24 month contract is just under $30pm.

the guys i spoke to at optus on the phone seemed absolutely positive you cant BYO blackberry to optus

ill call or visit a store this week

also called telstra they said no

virgin DONT support blackberry



also im not sure if its linked...but i got my mates simcard and put it into my phone and the internet and email would not work?

I can confirm that you can BYO device to Telstra.

I can also confirm: BYO device is allowed with Vodafone Au.

they all say i can byo for voice thats no problem

BUT cant use email/data with them cause im BYO


i just called optus shop locally and they confirm that you can BYO and go on a data plan month to month!

so more sales training for the overseas phone people i think

hi there i just connect my Bold with optus with 5 bucks off voice call and 19.99 of BIS
and the phone is BYO
