Well I connected the device and update via BB's online site, it started the App Loader on my laptop. I selected the updates I want to put in (some language add-ons) and it asked me which version of the firmware to choose. It's nice to see I can have the option not only upgrade but also downgrade, that's a first to me.

Clicking OKs to proceed to the upgrade it took around 45mins to perform the whole routine, which the last restore and boot up took quite a while and just have to have faith in it and not touch it and let it do the work. I was a bit nervous when I read some thread on the forum that desktop manager 4.7 that I'm on might cause some issues, lucky it works like a treat !

After the firmware was upgraded it's business as usual. Although I did bump into something silly - I was playing with the music player and hit the voice command button by accident and the machine crashed and rebooted miserably...probably getting too confused with the speaker and the mic !!

I notice one thing though, I do NOT have the maps app on my Bold, is that a network app or something's missing on my Bold ??

Jason

Thanks for the feedback. If you are referring to "BlackBerry Maps" this application doesn't work in Australia.
