Yeah I did it a couple of weeks back. It works and I've downloaded free apps directly from it.

it's got a nice interface (a bit like iphone i suppose).
One annoying thing is you can't just press menu & select exit to exit,
it just goes to the previous page (you have to keep repeating until you get to the start page & then it exits).

Confirmed that it works on 8900. Not exactly the most inspiring amount of apps available on it compared to the iphone so somewhat disappointing, BUT it does allow you to download most of the exisiting programs you may have on and archive it so that it doesn't take up your device's memory. Meh...that's something I suppose. Although I already have 130MB of free memory anyway by deleting all unnecessary videos/sample pictures.

Yeah, that link works for me too Tim, though BlackBerry App World only seems to provide free applications at this stage...

Nice to have them all in one place, accessible via a friendly interface though.

At the 8520 launch in Sydney last week i was speaking to one of the girls there demonstrating the device and her info was 100% right on the Prepaid Blackberry coming to Australia. She also said that App World was due for official Australian launch early to mid November so we should hear of it rolling out relatively soon. My guess would be with the official launch of OS 5.0

I bought Nintaii off Appworld a few days ago, so it's not just free apps at this stage.
