Well I don't see how that's possible - if I click on "Top Paid" (the "$" icon at the bottom), I am told:
"Paid applications are not available in your country"

Furthermore, if I search for "nintaii", it produces no results...

What can I say? It works on mine no problems. Its version 1.0.0.30 and I can download free apps and pay for apps with PayPal straight through the interface. I can't be bothered to post screen shots, but it sounds like you have a different version.

Yeah, I'm running version 1.1.0.20, courtesy of an update I downloaded from within BlackBerry App World.

Anyway, the official Australian release can't be too far off (hopefully) - BlackBerry App World is apparently built-in to the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9700, which is already being advertised on Research in Motion's (RIM) Australian BlackBerry site (though I can't seem to see the "BlackBerry App World" part listed on the Australian site)...

There is also detailed instructions to install the app on your BlackBerry device (I know it still won't work with OS 5+ yet though).

I'd say the usual disclaimers of try this at your own risk apply, but the instructions are pretty foolproof and you're not actually wiping any data from the device.
Downloading went fine on my 8820, but when trying to start I get the message "upgrade your service to a plan that includes browsing and discover (...). Contact your service provider for more details."

Well, am browsing all day long, so not sure how to interpret that...

Any ideas?

I downloaded BlackBerry App World using the link in the CrackBerry forums and it works fine:
App World OTA link for those of us outside US, CANADA and UK - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

One can only download free software, but there are no problems otherwise...

I downloaded a hybrid OS off bbhybrids.net last night and when my Storm rebooted I had the appworld icon on my homescreen. Awesome.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Bold 9000: BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.282 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/122)

Well the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is apparently available through Optus now, and it's been reported all over the place that BlackBerry App World is built-in to the BlackBerry Bold 9700...

So has anyone got a BlackBerry Bold 9700 yet, and can confirm that BlackBerry App World is built-in to the Australian version or not?
