    Emoji Support for BB SMS/Email

    Hey All,

Haven't found anything yet on other forums. But has anyone heard of Emoji support for BB?

iPhone has it, and the general query tends to be "so and so tweeted such and such from their iPhone and all I can see is little black boxes"

Same deal with SMS. What I'd like to find out is there a 3rd party app out there that allows BB to show Emoji?

EDIT: if anyone isn't up to speed on Emoji, think Emoticons, but imagine there being ones for just about everything under the sun- Apparently really big in Japan amongst mobile phone users. I'll come back on my iPhone and see if I can get them to show up in here.
    Emoji example: 

You can see what I mean, the emoji don't show up on desktop browsers either But they'll show up on a iPhone fine. lol!

    Hi Ted,
I've had a bit of a look around and there doesn't seem to be any application at the stage for Emoji for BlackBerry.
Will let you know if something does become available.
    Kind Regards,
    Greg Myers

 Thanks Greg! actually have it enabled on my iPhone now so if my wife can it on her Pearl that would be great

EDIT: Wonder why it won't show up on a Desktop Browser either though..... is it a Mac/iPhone only thing?

Or is it because the Japanese Emoji aren't programmed as part of Windows Character Map?

Found a site that allows you to convert those little squares in to the proper Emoji icons, but I can't seem to paste them in here (I think they're converted to images. I don't have the ability to post them here right now, I'll see if I can send them to Photobucket. - won't let me save the whole lot, only saving one little icon at a time... bah!

    Hi,

At this stage I can find anything on the web that indicates Emoji icons or characters are support on BlackBerry devices.

    Thanks,

    Gary
