Gameloft to develop Mobile Games for BlackBerry Smartphones
28th March 2007

Now, besides, using your BlackBerry smartphone to conduct your routine business, you will soon get to enjoy some fun and games on it as well. Leading publisher and game developer for mobile phones, Gameloft, has just announced that they are joining the BlackBerry ISV Alliance program, and this includes plans to develop, publish and distribute games for BlackBerry smartphones.

Hit game titles from Gameloft, such as Block Breaker Deluxe, Asphalt Urban GT 2, New York Nights, LOST, Midnight Pool and Price of Persia will be the first to hit the BlackBerry smartphone

According to Michel Guillemot, president, Gameloft, “With worldwide brand recognition and millions of loyal users the BlackBerry platform represents a tremendous opportunity for Gameloft. Given the technology advancements embedded in smartphones such as the BlackBerry pearl and BlackBerry 8800 and RIM’s rapidly growing customer base, we believe now is the ideal time to bring our quality games to this award-winning platform.”

More mobile game titles from Gameloft are expected to be announced for the BlackBerry smartphone. With the addition of exciting mobile games like these on the BlackBerry smartphone, gives everybody yet another reason to treat it like a ‘CrackBerry’ and behave like a Crack addict!
