Bluetooth pairing with Motorola HF850 handsfree

Have a motorola HF850 bluetooth carkit installed and cannot get my 8100 to find the device.

Was advised to download the latest firmware but my handset has the latest.

Does the 8100 run on an older bluetooth version and if so can it be upgraded? I think the HF850 runs on bluetooth version 1.2.

The Blackberry Pearl should work perfectly with the HF850 car kit. Before pairing your Blackberry to the HF850 did you press and hold the Motorola button (centre button) until the lights started flashing?

Thanks, now sorted.

Was getting the light to flash but needed to hold down the button a little longer.

I have heard some good things from people about the parrot bluetooth car kits. Does anyone know where the best place to get one from is? Also has anyone had any experience with them?
Cheers

I have with a Motorola but not with a BlackBerry. Worked well with the Moto although I think I still prefer the Motorola HF850. The voice recognition integration with BB works very well.

Hi,

I have used and setup many Parrot car kits and I can confirm they work very well and are a good quality product. Most people choose cheaper alternatives such as the Motorola as the Parrot has many features most people never use. If you post back with your location I can look around for phone dealers or electronic stores in your area that sell Parrot.

Thanks,

Gary
