calendar not synchronising

Hi

I am a relatively new user and not an IT guru, but my 8100 (with Telstra BES) calendar entries do not update my office calendar (on laptop) but the laptop entries update the 8100. My external IT consultant has never had this problem before.

My contacts entries synchronise both ways however.

I have just updated my device software to version 4.5 and this has had no effect on the problem.

Any suggestions?

There's several possibilities

1) On your BB, goto Calendar
- click the Menu Key (left of the trackball)
- select options
- check Wireless Synchronization = Yes (if not change it, save & exit - problem probably solved)

2) On the BES side of things, ask them to check the PIM Sync settings
& that Calendar Synch is set to Bidirectional (for both yourself & the User Group.

If it's neither of these, Do you know what your mail server is? (Exchange, Domino, Groupwise) if so, what version?

Hi Anthony,

Are you using a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) or the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)? If you are on BES this issue can be caused by the cdo.dll version on the BES being different to mail server (assuming it is configured on a separate server). Also the presents of Outlook on the BES can cause this issue so to confirm the exact cause I will need to know exactly what you have and where is it installed.
