camera setting

Whenever I open my camera outdoors, the screen is completely white and UN viewable. Ok indoors though. Any help would be appreciated. Must be a setting I can't find?

Hi,
Try ; (whilst in camera mode)>'Application Button' (LHS of Trackball)>scroll to 'Options'>select>'White Balance'>select>click on 'Automatic'>save changes and exit.
If this does not resolve please post back here.
Kind Regards,
Greg Myers

Hi,

This issue could also be related to your "Backlight Brightness" setting in Options > Screen\Keyboard or the firmware could have an issue. Could you please let us know you current firmware version (Options > About > Third line), exact model number (e.g. 8100 or 8110) and the network provider you are using and I will post back an upgrade link.

Thanks,

Gary

You currently have the latest firmware version firmware which also could be the cause of your issue. If anyone else has Pearl running this exact firmware please post back your findings.

FYI.
I have logged a job with Telstra. They have recognised this is a known issue with firmware Ver 4.5.0.52 and to date has not been investigated. For now I have stopped upgrading my users to 4.5 until this is resolved. Some people have advised pull the camera file from 4.2 but this does not work.
