I have just bought a new laptop which has Windows Vista. Everything works fine, however, when I install the software, I can't seem to connect via USB or Bluetooth. Has anyone experienced this before and found a solution?
Are you mentioning Blackberry Desktop Manager is not detecting your handset connected via USB ?
Open Desktop Manager -> Click on Options -> Connection Settings -> Choose Connection as USB and Click on Detect.
If not,
Right Click My Computer -> Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers -> Check whether Blackberry Phone is listed or not. Right click and choose scan for hardware change.
You might have to install drivers for Blackberry handset.
Just a thought, what version of DM did you install.... especially compared to your Blackberry's OS? If you used your disc it may now be older than your OS
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager to ensure support for Vista. The current version is 4.6 (Build B015) which can be downloaded HERE.
