  • BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8100 smartphone with microSD media card
Details

Files being transferred to media card are not being encrypted. If media card encyption is enabled by IT policy or by the BlackBerry device user, files will not be encrypted when
  • Transferred using Microsoft® Windows® Explorer
  • Saving attachments from email messages or through BlackBerry® Messenger
  • Transfering via Bluetooth® wireless technology
Files must be transferred using Media Manager within BlackBerry® Desktop Manager 4.2 in order for the files to be encrypted.
