Hi,
What are the services in BES that should be running? I noticed that some services are stopped or listed for manual start.
On a different note, is there a way that we can be sure that BES is communicating with Exchange? Like maybe an alert, instead of waiting until someone makes a complaint that they cannot receive any emails.
Thanks.

"BlackBerry Dispatcher"
"BlackBerry MDS Connection Service"
"BlackBerry Policy Service"
"BlackBerry Router"
"BlackBerry Synchronization Service"
Yes, the services differ in 5.0.

"BlackBerry Controller"
"BlackBerry Dispatcher"
"BlackBerry Mail Store Service"
"BlackBerry MDS Connection Service"
"BlackBerry Policy Service"

Ooops, sorry.. Where did I leave my brain!?
I thought I read such information in a log, but sadly couldn't find that.
Only log I know where you definately see, if an error occurs during connecting to a mailbox, is the MAGT log. But then you already had to activate a user. At least add him/her to the BES.
E.g. you will see a MAPIMailbox:OpenMessageStore error, if the besadmin is missing permissions.
I hope that helps!
/Alex
