moved e-mails on Outlook not being deleted on Blackberry

    Hi

On Outlook; when i move an e-mail from inbox to a subfolder which is not redirected on Blackberry, i still see the e-mail on Blackberry as a filed e-mail.

On BES; hard delete reconciliation is turned on.

Doesn't it have to be behaved like a hard deleted e-mail when i move an e-mail from inbox to a not redirected subfolder ?

Is there another way to disappear these e-mails on Blackberry beside "hide read filed messages" method ?

Because when i turn on "hide read filed messages", it hides e-mails in folders which are redirected to Blackberry too and i don't want it.

    BES version is 5.0.3

    Hi,

When you move an email into a sub folder the emails stays in the devices inbox but the icon changes to a picture of a folder (also when you open an email > scroll up it displays the folder location). The only way to remove these emails is to use the "Hide Filed Messages" option. When you have other redirected folder they still appear in the inbox until they are read when the hide option is enabled.

    Thanks,

    Gary

So Gary; does BES check even non redirected subfolders too? How it knows that email is moved to a non redirected folder and displays the non directed folder's name?

I thought that BES checked redirected folders and when it didn't see an email in a redirected folder,it perceived that e-mail as a deleted e-mail and removed over Blackberry.

As the BES is monitoring the inbox it tracks these emails even when they are filed into another folder (as long as the original landing folder was the inbox). If an email is automatically filed by an Outlook rule into a sub folder that BES is not monitoring it is not sent to the device.
