Can you please upgrade your BES to SP6? When you install the software ensure you are logged on using the BlackBerry Service Account (e.g. BESadmin). Once this is done and it still fails send me an email at gary@blackberryforums.com.au and we can arrange a time and I can remote in and have a look at your BES (I use GoToAssist so we can have a shared session).

I'll let you know if we go down that path and still have issues.

Cheers

I had the same problem until I made the following changes to the Mobile Data Services (MDS Connection Service) on the BES.

Open BlackBerry Manager > Select the Mobile Data Services tab (BES 4.0) > click Edit Properties > Click on HTTP > change "Support HTTP Authentication" to True > change "Support HTTP Cookie Storage" to True > Stop & Restart the MDS Service.

GoogleMaps on firmware 4.5

Hi Gary,
I tried removing GoogleMaps and re-installing v2.2.2 as per your link.
Still got the problem when I first try to connect and it prompts for Application Permissions a few times. On the 3rd one it just freezes up (Uncaught exception: Application GoogleMaps (153) is not responding; process terminated).
I am using an unrestricted security policy and have enabled the HTTP Authentication and HTTP Cookie Storage settings on the BES MDS (4.1 SP6) as per TheGrinch.
Any thoughts?
regards, WMB

Hi guys,
Just to update you on my progress i was able to find the logs for the MDS which was displaying an error message that was being sent via our firewall which was blocking www.google.com/glm/mmap due to is being in application/binary form.

i had the server guys allow this through the firewall and it is now letting google maps to work. YAY

have started to test on more devices with other employees and have success.

So thankyou all for your assistance

Prior to opening Google Maps go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications and scroll down to Google Maps, then press the menu button and select "Edit Permissions". Within the permissions windows Change the Connections setting to “Allow” and then exit and save. Also when you uninstalled the old version you should restart the device before installing the new version.
