MS DST August 2008 Patch and BES

Hi All,

Microsoft released a Daylight Savings Patch in August detailing changes to about 7 timezones.

How does this affect BlackBerry users? Do we have to simply install the patch onto the BES server (Exchange)? Do we have to install anything on the BlackBerry handhelds?

Thanks

Michael

Have a squiz @ the ink below. But basically you'll need the MS patch & probably patch your devices (OS4.2 & below are affected - but you can send it out OTA)

Hi,

If you are running BES 4.1 you should just upgrade to the latest service pack (these new updates include the DST database upgrade) and ensure all the MS Exchange Patches are installed on the mail server and BES. Please review the details within the link Supabrudda provided above as certain device firmware will require patching if present within you BlackBerry network.

Thanks,
