  • IBM® Lotus® Domino® 6.5.4
  • Microsoft® Windows® 2003
Problem

Event ID 1500 occurs when you start the BlackBerry Mobile Data Service.

Cause

The BlackBerry Mobile Data Service is attempting to connect through a port that is already in use.

Resolution
  1. Reset the port.
  2. Have the BlackBerry Mobile Data Service use another port.
    1. Open BlackBerry Manager.
    2. Click the MDS tab.
    3. Select Edit Properties.
    4. Select a different port number that is higher than 1024.
    5. Restart the BlackBerry Mobile Data Service.
