Gary,

Thanks so much for quick reply! I am pulling my hair out here.

With the previous blackberry; they pulled my services on and off the network, reset it, and sent it off to the network guys to try and fix. No luck!

I keep wondering if I should request a new sim card? Do the SIM cards need to have something special on them?? lol

Ta.

No mate, they use a regular old SIM and in the case of Vodafone, all their SIMs are the same...

Your best bet though, is to call technical support from a DIFFERENT PHONE - this way, they can setup and troubleshoot your device whilst you're on the phone to them.

Vodafone's technical support is reasonably good and a quick call to them will have you up-and-running in no time!

I have got the exact same problem! I signed up at an Allphones store and it was the very first Blackberry plan they'd ever done, so I think they might have given me a normal data plan instead. Strange thing is that it's not showing up online, in my account, so I think they might have forgotten to add it altogether. Have submitted a ticket to Vodafone, let us know how yours works out too.

Hi!

I am all up and running now, I have been for a while.

Although I did end up getting a new curve, and even that didn't immedatley solve the problem. Basically one morning I woke up and I was connected. We never figured out what the problem was.

Good luck with it.

Thanks, got it sorted with Vodafone. They hadn't associated the Blackberry plan with my account, all's well now

I used to manage an Allphones store and I have worked in the industry for nearly ten years...

Sad to say though, that when it comes to anything BlackBerry, most stores are severely under-trained, and this is not just limited to Allphones stores - I've worked at most of the other "major" stores and in almost every case, the staff know little or nothing about BlackBerrys!

In some cases, multiple staff in the SAME chain/franchise or even STORE have different opinions about how the service works and/or is priced (one particular network-owned chain springs to mind, but I won't single-out the old PMG... LOL)!
