Wirelessly posted (RIM BlackBerry Curve 8300: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/122)

As I understand it, the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) stores one's contacts on a remote server (computer), and compatible devices refer to this server (computer) whenever the user tries to access their contacts...

I believe this is a native feature for BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) solutions, but is it supported by a BlackBerry Individual Solution (BIS)?

By chance I found reference to a free LDAP service (FreeLDAP.org - http://www.freeldap.org) on PinStack.com's forums (http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com/71882-bis_ldap.html), and I am deeply interested in such a solution...

Thanks guys!

Unfortunately this feature isn't supported on the BlackBerry Internet Service.
