Outlook 2007 And BIS Meeting Request

Heres the scenario.

"Use your OUTLOOK 2007 (using abc@mydomain.com account) and send an
appointment to BB(your BB model, and create an email account in your BB
xyz@mydomain.com) and accept the appointment and goes back to OUTLOOK
2007 to verify if the Subject line is missing? If missing, could be BB issue
or email server or OUTLOOK issue. If no, we proceed to the test below."

"Create a new appointment with your OUTLOOK 2007 (using abc@mydomain.com)
and send it to my CEO BB (ceo@mydomain.com). My CEO will accept
the appointment and goes back to your OUTLOOK 2007 to verify if the Subject
line is missing? If missing, OUTLOOK 2007 or BB issue. If no, then it's my
OUTLOOK 2007 issue."

-sent by one really irate BB user.

Can anyone help me out on this problem? I have a very impatient and irate user and I can't seem to find the solution to the problem encountered above.

Hi,

Can you please confirm if this user has always had this issue or has it just started? Potential causes can be corrupted databases on the device to BB to Outlook field mapping issues. Can you please also let us know what model device and firmware version the user has? Also is your company running an Exchange server?

Thanks,

Gary

Gary,

The user can used MS Outlook 2003 with no problems but when he tries it on Outlook 2007, the meeting request (sent from BB to Outlook 2007) will be missing "subject line" and "location".

The user affected claims that it started happening after he upgraded his Desktop Manager from version 4.2 to version 4.3

Device model: 8800
Firmware: unknown

Field mapping have been guided by our call centre agents.

Are there any known issues regarding incompatibility with Outlook 2007?

Thank you in advance.

Over the past 12 months I have seen some very strange issues arise from using Outlook 2007 and have had the most success with Desktop Manager 4.2.2. With my personal BlackBerry I have just started using Desktop Manager 4.5 and found it to work perfectly with Outlook 2007. I have a copy of the new software on our high speed downloads server which you can access HERE

Nope. Still no luck.
Applied the hotfix for Outlook 2007 from MS and installed Desktop Manager 4.5

But still the problem persist.

You may have to contact your service provider's Blackberry support and ask them to escalate this issue to RIM.
