No Birthday in Address Book

Hi, lotus notes has a birthday in contacts, which populates to the calander however does not come up on the blackberry calendar....the blackberry address book also has no birthday field. The only way around it is to put a separate reoccurring event in the calendar. Or have i missed something?

Were you able to find an answer to this question? I'd like to be able to have a custom field (date format) in the BB address book (ex: Birthday) that populates into the BB Calendar. I'd like to do this without 3rd party software, but if impossible, perhaps you can recommend a good solution either way. Thanks, Andrew

Sorry I did look into this and confirmed with RIM that these field mappings aren't supported on any version of BES. I also checked with RIM and they said there is no current of future plans to add support for this field. I have made a request for this item to be "considered" for future releases.
