Please contact your administrator to enable this service.

Resolution

Your administrator must complete the following steps:
  1. In the stconfig.nsf database, add the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer hosting the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to the Trusted IPS field located in the form view of the Community Connectivity document. Note: Use the IBM Lotus Sametime Administration tool to change IBM® Lotus® Domino® messaging and collaboration server administration parameters.
  2. In the BlackBerry Server Configuration Panel, click Collaboration Service.
  3. Make sure the IBM Lotus Sametime host name is spelled correctly.
  4. Make sure the port setting is correct.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Restart the IBM Lotus Sametime Server.
  7. Restart the BlackBerry Collaboration Service to allow the changes to take effect.
Important: Restarting the BlackBerry Enterprise Server will delay email message delivery to BlackBerry smartphones. For more information, see KB04789.
Additional Information

For more information on configuring the IBM Lotus Sametime server, see KB04928.

Trusted IP

Why do we need to add the BES IP as a trusted IP in Sametime?

You only need to add the BES as a trusted IP if this error appears. In the event you are required to enter this IP it normally indicates BES was installed after Sametime (or it's a second or alternative BES install) and it isn't listed in the CommunityConnectivity document.

The BlackBerry Instant Messaging logs can be found in \Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs by default. The actual sametime.log is located in the program directory where the Sametime server is installed.
