Doc ID : KB04717
Last Modified : 2007-07-09
Document Type : Support
Environment- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 4.0
- IBM® Lotus® Domino®
Problem
After applying a service pack to BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0, the custom registry settings are not preserved in the following registry keys:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Database
The all points bulletin (APB) customization setting MaxSkippedNotificationsPerDay is removed from the Agents registry key, and the custom SQL port settings are reverted to the default value in the Database registry key.
For more information about the setting MaxSkippedNotificationsPerDay, please see
KB04291.
Resolution
Warning: The following procedure involves modifying the computer registry. This can cause substantial damage to the Microsoft® Windows® operating system. Document and back up the registry entries prior to implementing any changes.
Document the custom registry settings prior to applying a service pack. Once the upgrade is complete, re-enter the required information in the registry keys.
