Hey Gary,

I currently have a 8820 that I was able to track down as I wanted this phone, but have ran into issues with the PIN. I have purchased it it was brand new from no provider. I have even attempted to contact BlackBerry but they keep telling me that my provider needs to release teh PIN (not sure what that means). Am I some how able to de register the PIN and then be able to start using the BB messenger on my BlackBerry? I mean I know it did work cause I had contacts added.

Sorry for pingin you but you seem like you are teh guy to go to on here..

Hi Gary,
I would like to buy a Bold 9700 in the USA and use it in Spain.

Apparently the PIN is released and it will work correctly in Spain, but can it be possible that after a few month AT&T ask blackberry to block the pin because of non payment of the bill or non respect of a contract ?
