Google Mobile phone app problems

We appear to be having several issues with Google Mobile phone apps on our BB 8830 World phones from Verizon. We are using BES 4.1.5. But we are seeing issues with emails disappearing, contacts not syncing, and calendar entries disappearing after they are entered. The one common thing we are seeing is users adding the Google Mobile apps to the devices which include Search, GMail, Google Calendar and Address Book. Is anyone having issues like this that they can point to the Google apps as the problem? thanks...

Google Mobile phone app problems

Hey

It seems to be a low memory issue where the available handheld memory is less than 400 KB. I don't know whether google apps could be a problem.
But try out the below steps and let me know.

Following are the options
1) Remove the unused applications and old data which will increase the amount of memory on your handheld.

To view the available memory on your handheld click on
Options -> Status -> File Free.

To remove some of the unused applications
Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> (Click on Menu button to delete the application)

2) Make sure the pictures, voice recordings and video recordings are also removed

Options -> Media -> Video -> My Video –> (Click on the Menu button to delete the application)

Options -> Media -> Pictures -> My Pictures -> (Click on the Menu button to delete the application)

Hi,

It would appear that you device is having memory issues and "Low Memory Manager" is kicking in to free up space so the device can function. What version of 4.5 are you running? As this is Beta software or "early release" software for some carriers there are a large number of bugs (depending on the version), the best version to run is 4.5.0.52 as it is the most stable. Also just as an FYI 99% of BlackBerry apps aren't fully 4.5 compatible so you may experience issue until 4.5 is released worldwide.

Thanks,

Gary
